Morelia spilota

Carpet pythons are very undemanding terrarium inhabitants. They have few specific husbandry requirements and especially once they reach a certain size are very active and visible. The enclosure should be as spacious as possible, as they love to climb. Mine rarely spend time on the ground. The temperature should be at daytime between 28 and 32°C as well as a relative humidity of 50–70%.

While they can be quite nippy as juveniles, this behavior tends to subside as they grow, and they become very relaxed as adults. I keep my animals in a planted, bioactive terrarium, and I use isopods and millipedes as a "cleanup crew" in every enclosure.
